Now this is a film I've been waiting a long time for. The book is a great read, especially if you're an 70's and 80's child. It is one of my favourite books, and it looks like the film will delivery on it to. The book is full of easter eggs, as is the trailer :)

I strongly recommend reading the book ahead of the movie :eatit:

I'll second that, amazing book. His second book (Armarda) is also a good read if you enjoy this style of book.

I "read" the unabridged audiobook last year and it was a brilliant read. So glad they're making the film.

Another couple that I also thought were good reads were:

Ascend Online by Luke Chmilenko

Both are kind of like the World of Warcraft games but quite well written for all that
