Hi guys.

I was wondering if there would be the opportunity, with the high calibre of player we have in TOGA, for a "stop being such a n00b" clinic.

I like to play well, and I'm finding that I'm either bit rusty, or I just suck.

Bottom line is, I'd like to be a better player and reckon that I could benefit from a little help :)

I've not been on one, but isn't this what the training sessions are for? Or are they for something else?

I know I could do with a 6 month training course, but on the other hand I also know that it will do little good and I'll probably just get stressed and fed up with playing. At least now I can ditch out if I'm not doing well and can tell that its affecting my head :)

Join the training sessions it's mainly for the team to learn to play together as a squad and listen to where the leader sends/wants you to go. Also check out BF4 training/ tactics section on the forums this may help with your load out as players who you may think are better share what thay use on what guns
Training sessions every Sunday night all welcome

Yeah, I have been trying to get a same video as Debug together but I am struggling a bit with it. The video is too big and mic volume is still too low, but when I have time I will figure it out and post a video of my gameplay.

I am more than willing to help anyone increase his/her kd and give pointers or explain why I do certain things. What would help is that you send me a video of you playing and we can run through certain engagements and why you have lost or won them. COD recorded your 20 last engagements automatically, I used to watch my best engagements before starting to play so that I could analyse what was going wrong and how I could improve myself. I would than start and train one or two things in which I thought I was lacking, for example: when walking or running keeping my gun pointed to the ground. One advise to start with is analyse each firefight win or loose and think about what you did wrong, regardless of the outcome.

I am not trying to say I think myself of a god or something, but I generally perform pretty decent but I am also still struggling with this game... I am happy to receive advise and suggestions from anyone as I always think I can be a lot better.

Hmmm, I would like to think I always try and give some pointers...

Problem is that you cannot really see people playing. I just realised; I can spectate people if they want to hear how I think they can improve their game.

So just ask me and I will help you!

JK, im an open book. Ask me anything
ok , why does McBusted bloody exist? :p Why tomas why???? shite + shite makes shite. Mcbusted, living proof you CANT polish a turd! Ive heard they are doing the music score for BF5 :p

I gave up worrying about how well I play, or if I have a positive K:d ratio or infact killing more than I die, but then again BF4 is a way for me to relax, kill people, have a laugh.

I reset my stats in bf3 thinking hmm now ive played it a while I should have better stats, 6 months after resetting they were EXCATLY back to the same ratio, I know im shite, im in it for shits n giggles :p computer gaming is a form of entertainment no?

Some well made points guys. I agree with Mando in some ways, yeah, gaming is mostly for laughs and hanging with the TOGA guys is fecking great :)

But, I also really like doing well, and after watching guys like Cropulous batter the opposing team on Metro last night ( 83 - 29 you ended with up man), even though I had a pretty respectable 28 -10, i just felt i could do better, I kept getting caught out in places i thought I should be doing better and was hoping you guys could help.

I hadn't watched DeBugti's vid or read the loadouts, but I will shortly.

As for training sessions, They're great, I really enjoyed the one I was involved in, but still kinda felt like I was cannon fodder for the better guys :D Which is fine, as it's not ranked and it's for the betterment of the clan, just would rather the be the cannon than the fodder :D

I'm not a great player, I have good and bad games, but some food for thought that are quick wins, some of it straight out of Basic Training!

1. Cover when reloading
2. Good use of flanking.... a minute without kills to flank the enemy can easily result in 4 or 5 good clean kills, using the outside on locker for example or the tree lines on the left and right flanks of Zavod
3. Awareness of surroundings and good comms in game (training is excellent to improve this)
4. Resist the need to move towards heavy contact, let them come to you sometimes!
5. Restrict movement at times like when capping flags. Movement attracts attention and makes you an easily identified target
6. Be aware of your arc of fire and the ingress/egress points of your enemy
7. Don't take the shot if your enemy hasn't seen you and you can't guarantee the kill, instead flank him and take his tags.
8. Use of med packs when digging in to a firing position, drop it (or someone in squad) so it's there before you need it, you can win loads of one on ones with it there that you wouldn't without.
9. Never contact the same enemy or group of enemy from exactly the same position twice if your seen the first time.
10. Wait for your enemy to reload, you can easily tell the type of weapon being used and you can use this to your advantage.

My K/D gets smashed on a lot of maps because I prefer the engineer class and spend a lot of time taking on armoured vehicles, other times my K/D gets smashed because I'm not really getting in to the game, however I always score high points by good use of whatever class I'm playing.

Oh man I must really suck if you think you're not up to speed Traitor :-/ The only thing I do to rack up a decent score in game is go for capturing control points quickly and efficiently, if I'm a squad leader I mark the control points and as soon as it's in our control I mark the next one, and if I'm supply or medic I litter the battlefield with packs :) (which I've seen far too many players roll these roles and never drop a pack)

These are better ideas than you think man :)

Plus, I'm old and have a tendon problem nowadays which has slowed me down a lot :(

The physio reckons I've lost 20 - 25% of the mobility in both my hands and arms.
